A catastrophic incident struck the capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur, on Friday morning near a petrol station when an LPG truck collided with another vehicle. This tragic fire engulfed over 40 vehicles, including a passenger-filled bus. The disaster resulted in 11 fatalities and numerous injuries, with victims being treated at the hospital.
In the chaos that followed, desperate screams echoed as burn victims dashed for safety. Brave souls risked their own lives to rescue others. Among this turmoil is a harrowing video of a person named Harlal emerging from the blaze, pleading for help.
Harlal had hitched a ride on the truck from Jaipur to Sikar, only to fall victim to the fire moments later. His uncle Mohanlal rushed him to SMS Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Uncle's Heartbreaking Account
In an exclusive interview with Aaj Tak, eyewitness Mohanlal recounted the scene, describing how they were about to leave Harlal and a companion by the roadside. Harlal had taken a lift from a truck to Sikar. Just 500 meters into the journey, an explosive crash occurred. News reached him via a call from Rajulal, Harlal's friend.
Mohanlal described the escape of scorched individuals, including his nephew Harlal, who screamed 'Uncle, Uncle' in agony. Mohanlal and others helped him to a hospital, while his companion was transported later by ambulance. Mohanlal and his nephew were marble workers.
'Fire Everywhere around Us...'
Another eyewitness, Sunil, shared his experience with Aaj Tak, detailing the terrifying scene they encountered. "We were traveling from Rajsamand to Jaipur when suddenly there was an explosion very close to our bus. Flames surrounded us, and even entered the bus," he recounted.
He further explained that when they tried to escape, they discovered the main gate locked. They broke the windows to flee. Along with Sunil, 8 to 10 others escaped, while some were left behind, some tragically burned.
