In Lebanon, 42 people lost their lives due to the pager explosions, and more than 3500 were injured. The target was Hezbollah fighters, but only 1500 fighters were wounded, while the rest were civilians, including women and children. The next day, walkie-talkie explosions occurred, causing severe injuries, including loss of limbs and eyesight.
According to a major source in the Middle East for Reuters news agency, Israel and Mossad's covert operation injured 1500 Hezbollah fighters, though most were not killed. These fighters suffered serious injuries to their face, eyes, and hands due to the explosions.

Hezbollah allowed these injured fighters to take a leave. Meaning that among the 3500 injured, 2000 were civilian non-combatants. If 1500 out of 40-50 thousand fighters get injured, it's not a big deal, but losing senior leaders is significant. Several Hezbollah leaders were killed in Israeli attacks, disrupting the group's morale.

Message in Arabic Led to the Blast
Hezbollah fighters received messages in Arabic, believing them to be instructions from senior leaders. Upon opening the pagers, the explosions occurred. These messages were actually triggered by Israeli intelligence to cause blasts. Later, it was found out that these pagers had recently been distributed among Hezbollah fighters to avoid being tracked via phone by Israel.
