Apple has made a significant announcement for iPhone users in India by rolling out iOS 18.4. With this latest update, users will benefit from AI features powered by Apple Intelligence, previously available only in countries like the US, UK, Canada, and Europe.

This newest update expands the support of Apple Intelligence, adding additional languages, including Hindi. Please note that this update will only be available for eligible iPhones.

Not all iPhones will be eligible for the latest iOS 18.4 update. Here's a list of eligible iPhone models you need to know.

The iPhone 16 series includes devices such as iPhone 16e, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Additionally, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will also support this update.

Unlock AI Features

Once updated to iOS 18.5, eligible devices will unlock cutting-edge AI features like Writing Tools, Smart Reply, Clean Up, and Genmoji. These features were announced at last year’s WWDC 2024 as part of Apple Intelligence.

Updating to iOS 18.4

If you own an eligible iPhone, you can update your handset with the latest iOS 18.4. To do this, go to Settings > General > Software Update to check if the latest update is available for you. Update immediately if a new version is released.

Experience Visual Intelligence

With this update, users will get support for Visual Intelligence, allowing them to easily gain insights into surrounding objects using just the camera. For example, pointing your camera at a flower will reveal its name.

Support for Indian Languages

Apple Intelligence now includes support for additional languages, featuring ten Indian languages. Language support extends beyond typing, fully integrating into system settings, calendar, and settings apps in your preferred language.

Introducing New Emojis

Seven new emojis have been added with Apple Intelligence, including a sleepy face, fingerprint, dry tree, and root vegetable.

Enhanced Notifications and Smarter Siri
