The voter rights journey spearheaded by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is traversing several districts in Bihar. Recently, it reached Darbhanga, where an individual used offensive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, sparking a strong reaction from the BJP. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi also weighed in on the matter.

Owaisi stated that everyone is entitled to speak, protest, and criticize freely. However, it becomes a problem when we cross the lines of decency, and this should be avoided, regardless of whom we are discussing. Criticize Prime Minister Modi, if you must, but ensure that you don't breach decorum. Crossing these boundaries distorts the subject of debate and makes it crude. If others engage in unacceptable behavior, we should not imitate them.

The issue of the offensive remarks against Prime Minister Modi during the 'Voter Rights Journey' in Darbhanga has heated the streets. Last Friday, BJP activists stormed the Congress headquarters at Sadaqat Ashram in Patna. In response, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, remarked that truth always prevails. Meanwhile, the perpetrator of the abusive language, identified as Mohammad Rizvi alias Raja (age 20), was apprehended by the police.

BJP Minister Nitin Navin declared that insults against PM Modi will not be tolerated. He called on Rahul Gandhi, Congress, and their allies to apologize.

Additionally, Rahul Gandhi posted on X, stating that violence and falsehood hold no ground in the face of truth and non-violence. He urged continued efforts in protecting truth and the constitution, asserting, 'Truth always wins! (Satyameva Jayate).'
