14 Indian youths were sent to Cambodia for jobs as computer operators and call center employees. Agents took money, but upon arrival, these youths were held captive. Among them is a young man from Gopalganj, Bihar. A video of the captive youths pleading for help has gone viral on social media.

14 youths were sent to Cambodia under the pretense of working as computer operators. These individuals, including Bhola Chauhan from Gopalganj, Bihar, arrived in Cambodia within one to three months. A company in Cambodia has held these youths captive. Besides Bhola Chauhan, approximately 14 youths from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are among the captives.

The agents promised these youths jobs as call center employees and data entry operators in Cambodia. However, once there, they faced severe hardships. The captive youths have sent video messages pleading with the central government to bring them back home. This video is going viral on social media.

Julan Prasad, a relative of Bhola Chauhan from Chanave village in Gopalganj's Thawe area, mentioned that Bhola was sent to Cambodia one and a half months ago. The agent, Rohit Chauhan from Tarwara in Siwan, took 150,000 rupees to send him there under the guise of a data entry and call center job, but the company held him captive there.

14 People From Bihar and Uttar Pradesh Held Captive

Apart from Bhola Chauhan, around a dozen and a half youths from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh have been held captive there. These youths are locked in a room. The distressed youths have sent video messages pleading for their return home.

In the video, the youths narrated that they were brought to Cambodia for data entry and call center jobs. They underwent training for one and a half months. Post-training, when they asked for work, the Cambodian police sent them to jail for five days. After being released, they were handed over to an NGO and now have to stay in a room.

Youths Plead for Help in Video Messages

The youths stranded in Cambodia are appealing to the central government for repatriation. They have expressed their plight through a video, detailing their horrible experiences. Listening to their accounts, it's evident how deceitful practices are exploiting people under the pretext of sending them abroad.
