Two new warships for the Indian Navy are being constructed in Russia. Both are Talwar-class stealth frigates, named INS Tushil and INS Tamala. INS Tushil will join the Indian Navy by the end of this year, while INS Tamala will arrive next year.
These warships are being built at the Yantar Shipyard in Russia. So far, seven Talwar-class warships have been constructed, with six currently active. Four new warships are being built - two in Russia and two in India. These warships have a displacement of 3850 tons, a length of 409.5 feet, a beam of 49.10 feet, and a draught of 13.9 feet.

These warships can sail at a maximum speed of 59 km/hr. If their speed is reduced to 26 km/hr, they can journey up to 4850 km. At 56 km/hr, their range is 2600 km. The warship can accommodate 18 officers and 180 soldiers for up to 30 days at sea.
Loaded with a Full Arsenal of Weapons
Replenishment of food and fuel is required after that. These warships are equipped with electronic warfare systems and 4 KT-216 decoy launchers. They also have 24 Shtil-1 medium-range missiles, 8 Igla-1E, 8 vertical launch anti-ship missiles Club, and 8 vertical launch anti-ship and land attack BrahMos missiles.

Equipped with Deadly Torpedoes and Naval Guns
They are armed with a 100mm A-190E naval gun, a 76mm Oto Melara naval gun, 2 AK-630 CIWS, and 2 Kashtan CIWS guns. Additionally, they have two 533mm torpedo tubes and a rocket launcher. The warship can host either a Kamov-28, Kamov-31, or Dhruv helicopter.
