The Indian Navy is set to finalize deals for three submarines, Rafale Marine fighter jets, and MQ-9B drones by the end of this year. The three Scorpene-class submarines being built at Mazagon Dockyard will significantly amplify the Navy’s strength, crucial as China rapidly increases its maritime power. This deal is expected to cost around 400 billion rupees.

Bharat Electronics Limited will play a key role in this deal. The second major deal, expected to be concluded before the end of this financial year, involves procuring 26 Rafale-M fighter jets for the INS Vikrant aircraft carrier. The Navy has taken necessary steps to expedite the project and complete the deal soon.
