This agreement is designed with the interests of the nation and the people at the forefront. It will illuminate the future of India. Last night, under PM Modi's visionary leadership, the deal was finalized. On behalf of 1.4 billion citizens, I extend my heartfelt thanks to PM Modi.'
'We wanted to address this in Parliament but...'
He continued, 'This deal brings a plethora of opportunities for India's economy and its 1.4 billion citizens, including every poor individual, farmer, fisherman, rural youth, and woman. We intended to discuss it in Parliament but observed the disgraceful conduct led by Rahul Gandhi and his allies in the Congress today. I strongly condemn Rahul Gandhi and the opposition for such distasteful behavior, which is why we are presenting the information here rather than in Parliament.'
'What we couldn't achieve for months, PM Modi accomplished yesterday'
Piyush Goyal stated, 'The trade deal forged by PM Modi, leveraging his friendship with Trump, is the finest among our neighboring nations. India faced a 50% tariff that adversely affected industries and farmers. Even opposition leaders questioned the timeline of a deal. He affirmed, 'The entire nation is aware of PM Modi's continuous concern for farmers, herders, and the dairy sector. He consistently ensures their interests are preserved. This deal also protects India's sensitive sectors. But it's unfortunate that leaders like Rahul Gandhi, with negative mindsets, mislead the nation. They show no interest in the country's progress. Piyush Goyal noted, 'This trade deal significantly benefits MSMEs, IT, textiles, and leather goods.' He warned, 'Rahul Gandhi will drive India into darkness. DMK, SP, TMC—all these entities oppose India. Rahul Gandhi questions our military. One leader questioned why Donald Trump tweeted. Well, since the US had to reduce the tariffs, it's understandable they would make the announcement. Tariff reductions have decreased from 50% to 18%.'
