India unveiled Pakistan's falsehoods at the United Nations Security Council, holding a mirror up to its deceptions. Responding strongly to PAK's sermon on terrorism, India stated that Pakistan, a country that makes no distinction between civilians and terrorists, takes part in discussions on civilian safety, thereby insulting the international community.
India's permanent representative to the UN, Ambassador Harish Puri, participated in the open debate on 'Protecting Civilians in Armed Conflict,' focusing on dangers faced by civilians, humanitarian workers, journalists, and UN personnel in conflict areas.
Ambassador Puri blasted Pakistan's UN engagement, noting, 'I am forced to respond to baseless allegations made by Pakistan's representative. Firstly, India has faced decades of Pakistan-sponsored terrorist attacks along its border.'
'PAK Unqualified to Discuss Civilian Safety'
He asserted, 'A country that does not distinguish between terrorists and civilians has no right to discuss protecting civilians. Such participation disparages the international community.'
Referring to a recent incident, Puri accused that earlier this month, the Pakistani military deliberately targeted Indian border villages.
He reported, 'Over 20 civilians were killed and more than 80 injured. Sacred places like gurdwaras, temples, convents, and hospitals were deliberately attacked. Preaching from this platform afterwards is sheer hypocrisy.'
'India Endured PAK-Sponsored Terror:
Reiterating a strong stance, Harish mentioned that India has endured Pakistan-sponsored terror attacks along its borders for decades.
'This includes the horrific 26/11 attack on Mumbai and the brutal massacre of innocent tourists in Pahalgam in April 2025. Pakistani terrorism targets mostly civilians to attack our prosperity, progress, and morale. Such a nation’s participation in discussions on protecting civilians is an insult to the international community,' he said.
He stated that Pakistan consistently uses civilians as cover to promote terrorism.
'Recently, we saw senior government, police, and military officials pay tribute at funerals for terrorists killed under Operation Sindoor. Pakistan, a nation that blurs the line between terrorists and civilians, lacks the right to discuss civilian safety,' he concluded.
