During the India Today Conclave 2025 in Mumbai, Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis addressed various issues, from Maratha reservations to alleged vote tampering, with frankness. He remarked that those deeply enamored with Nepal's Gen-Z should consider residing in Nepal.

Responding to Rahul Gandhi's Gen-Z-related remarks, Fadnavis commented on the differing situations between India and Nepal. He stated that those who harbor great affection for Nepal should go live there. He also pointed out that India's youth are immersed in startups, AI, and IT, leaving little time for protests.

He emphasized that Indian youth, many of whom are engineers, have carved out a global reputation, notably in Silicon Valley. Fadnavis believes that India's Gen-Z hold distinct thoughts and don't operate with a Nepalese mindset.

Fadnavis observed that Rahul Gandhi, after trying various tactics, is now turning to Gen-Z, but hinted at the indifference of the Indian youth towards Gandhi's relevance. The young in India are too engaged in transforming industries to spend time on protests.

Rahul Gandhi recently called upon the nation's students and youth, born between 1997 and 2012, Gen-Z, to protect democracy. He suggested taking to the streets on the vote-rigging issue. Addressing this, Maharashtra's Chief Minister acknowledged the historic ties between Nepal and India but noted that the two neighbors are now vastly different.

He emphasized India's remarkable progress, being the fourth-largest economy globally. The youth in India have unique perspectives and are asserting dominance worldwide, with little inclination for street marches.
