Defense Minister Rajnath Singh expressed on a Friday that the government will not spare terrorists attempting to disrupt the nation's peace, ensuring a strict reckoning even if they hide in Pakistan. In an interview with a private news channel, the minister was assertive, '20 terrorists neutralized? Any terrorist who harasses India from our neighboring country, or attempts to foster terrorism here, will be met with a crushing response. If they flee to Pakistan, we will pursue them there.'
Rajnath Singh was addressing claims made by the British newspaper 'The Guardian', which suggested that India performed targeted killings in Pakistan. The report cited officials from Pakistan's intelligence agency, ISI, claiming that India has adopted a policy of targeting those it considers hostile and that India's Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) has eliminated at least 20 such individuals post the 2019 Pulwama attack.

His statement comes amidst India's rejection of reports by The Guardian. The Ministry of External Affairs labeled the accusations in the report as 'false, malicious, and anti-Indian propaganda'. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has repeatedly stated that targeted assassinations in other countries are not in line with India's policies. Defense Minister added that New Delhi aims to maintain good relations with all of its neighbors, emphasizing that India has never attacked another country.
'India has never tried to capture another country's territory. This is the character of India. But if anyone repeatedly threatens us, attempts to promote terrorist activities on our soil, they won't be spared. Everything Prime Minister Modi has said is true. India is a powerful nation and even Pakistan has begun to understand this,’ he stated.
