The British newspaper 'The Guardian' has ignited speculation with their claim that Apple is diligently pursuing a secret project dedicated to crafting a self-driving car. Documents reviewed by 'The Guardian' corroborate the tech giant's clandestine efforts in autonomous vehicle development.

'The Guardian' also reported that in May, engineers from Apple's covert Special Projects team met with officials from GoMentum Station, a high-security testing ground in Francisco, transformed from a former army base spread over 2,100 acres, now dedicated to testing autonomous vehicles.

Following this meeting, international media buzzed with discussions about Apple's foray into self-driving cars, subsequently intensifying rumors that Apple might conduct tests for its autonomous vehicles at the 'GoMentum Station' grounds.

Previously, rumors suggested Apple was working on an 'electric self-driving car' under the codename 'Titan', but recent document discoveries are the first solid indication that Apple is indeed embarking on the creation of a self-driving car.

Several factors fuel these rumors, including frequent meetings by Apple's CEO with executives of major car companies and statements by Apple officials on automotive technology. This has led to heightened anticipation about Apple's potential impact on the transportation industry, suggesting that the boundaries between technology and automotive might soon be blurring.
