Despite facing a resounding defeat during Operation Sindoor, Pakistan continues to indulge in hate-filled and warmongering remarks against India. Recently, Pakistan's Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir visited the United States and issued a veiled nuclear threat against India. Following this, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif asserted that his country won't let India take a drop of water it doesn't deserve. In a sharp rebuttal, India has reminded Pakistan to keep its rhetoric in check. India cited a long-standing pattern where Pakistan uses antagonistic statements to hide its failures.

Responding to a question about such statements from Pakistani leadership, Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, 'We've observed reports of continuous reckless, warmongering, and hate-filled comments from Pakistani leaders against India. This trend of anti-India rhetoric is a known habit of Pakistani leadership to mask their inadequacies.'

Jaiswal further warned Pakistani leaders, advising, 'Pakistan is urged to exercise restraint in their rhetoric. Any misstep will lead to dangerous consequences, as evidenced recently.'

The Ministry also commented on the arbitration ruling by the Permanent Court of Arbitration regarding the Indus Waters Treaty, which stated that India should not obstruct water flowing to Pakistan.

The spokesperson clarified, 'India has never accepted the legitimacy, rationale or capability of this so-called arbitration court. Therefore, its decisions are beyond jurisdiction, hold no legal validity, and do not affect India's water usage rights. As reiterated in our press release on June 27, 2025, the Indus Waters Treaty is suspended following a sovereign decision by India's government in response to continuous cross-border terrorism sponsored by Pakistan, including the barbaric Pahalgam attack.'

The remarks from India's Foreign Ministry were a response to Asim Munir, Shehbaz Sharif, and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's provocative statements where they threatened India.

According to a PTI report, Asim Munir made the comments against India during an event in Tampa, Florida, on Saturday. Munir stated, 'We are a nuclear-armed nation. If we perceive ourselves sinking, we will drag half the world down with us.'

Following the Pahalgam terrorist attack sponsored by Pakistan on April 22, India suspended the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan. Under the treaty, Pakistan was entitled to water from the Indus, Jhelum, and Chenab rivers. However, India suspended the agreement and is constructing new dams to halt the water flow towards Pakistan, causing immense concern among Pakistani leaders and military leadership.

Munir further warned, 'We will wait for India to finish building their dams and then destroy them with ten missiles. The Indus River is not the property of any Indian family. We have no shortage of missiles.'

At a program held in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif declared that his country will not let India seize even a drop of its rightful water. He warned against attempting to block river flows.

He stated, 'I want to tell the enemy today that if they threaten to stop water, remember, not a drop of Pakistan's water can be taken. If you try, remember, you will be taught a lesson and forced to beg for mercy.'

Former Foreign Minister and Chairperson of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, also recently threatened India with war. He stated that if India continues to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty and tries to build dams on the Indus River, it could lead to warfare.

Bhutto declared, 'If war comes, we convey that we will not step back; we will not yield. If you dare infringe on the Indus River, people from every province in Pakistan will stand ready to confront you. The Indus Valley Civilization is tied to the Indus River. An assault on this river is an assault on our civilization, our history, and our culture.'
