Putin stated, 'For a long time, there hadn't been such direct talks at this level. We had the opportunity to calmly reiterate our stance.' He further added, 'We respect the American administration’s viewpoint, which recognizes the necessity of ending the war swiftly. This is our goal as well. We wish to resolve all issues through peaceful means.'
