A highlight of the Women's Asia Cup 2024, the India-Pakistan encounter is scheduled for July 21. The tournament will span July 19 to July 28 in the picturesque Dambulla, Sri Lanka, featuring a total of eight teams. Defending champions India are placed in Group A with Pakistan, Nepal, and the UAE. Group B comprises Bangladesh, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. Last time around, seven teams competed for the title.
Team India is set to play their opening match on July 19 against the UAE. Following their battle with Pakistan, India's next challenge will be against Nepal on July 23. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semifinals, which are to be played on July 26, culminating in the grand finale on July 28.
Once more, the tournament will be contested in the T20 format. India holds the record for the most Women's Asia Cup titles, having secured the trophy seven times. The previous edition, held in 2022, saw India triumph over Sri Lanka in the finals, claiming the prestigious trophy.
