A ceasefire has been declared along the border with Pakistan, yet Operation Sindoor persists. On Sunday, a detailed press conference was conducted by the DGMOs of all three services, sharing that our objectives have been achieved, and justice has been served to the victims of Pahalgam.
'All Our Pilots Are Safe'
Director General of Air Operations (DGAO) A.K. Bharti announced the safe return of all our pilots and the successful accomplishment of all targets. Contrary to claims from Pakistan about capturing an Indian pilot and downing Rafale jets, the Air Force has rejected such assertions outright.
DGAO Bharti stated that no Pakistani aircraft breached Indian airspace, hence no debris was recovered. We did manage to down some Pakistani fighter jets and drones, though revealing their exact count isn’t appropriate yet. Reports suggest that India downed Pakistan's F-16 and JF-17 fighter jets, although the Air Force hasn't specified any particular aircraft.

'Significant Damage to Pakistani Airbases'
When asked about the number of Pakistani aircraft shot down, Air Marshal A.K. Bharti replied, 'We're not speculating here. I have the data, and we’re acquiring technical details to confirm the figures, making it premature to provide exact numbers now.'
Air Marshal Bharti highlighted precise, measured counteractions against key military targets in Pakistan, including airbases, command centers, military infrastructure, and air defense systems. Notably, Chakala and Rafiqui airbases were among the targets.
'Over 100 Terrorists Eliminated'
DGMO Rajeev Ghai confirmed the Indian Army's focus was solely on terrorist locations, attacking four sites in Pakistan and five in PoK. This operation resulted in the death of over 100 terrorists, including notable figures Yousuf Azhar, Abdul Malik, and Mudassir Ahmed, involved in the Kandahar hijacking and Pulwama attack.

Operation Sindoor has addressed nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK, while the Army has identified a total of 21 sites. When asked if military action will continue against terrorists, DGMO Rajeev Ghai mentioned that many camps were recognized during the identification process. More than 21 were shown, but the list was refined to 21. Action will be taken on the remaining if needed.
Navy Ready for Action
While the Army and Air Force actions are well-known, this press conference revealed the Indian Navy’s readiness to strike. Director General of Naval Operation (DGNO) Vice Admiral A.N. Pramod said the Navy was prepared to target and destroy specific sites, including Karachi port and others within Pakistan’s maritime boundaries, awaiting orders. Vice Admiral assured that the Navy is fully equipped for any counteraction.
DGNO mentioned that within 96 hours of the terror attack, naval weaponry and combat ships were prepped in the Arabian Sea, ready for decisive action against the enemy in Northern Arabian Sea, ensuring readiness for precise strikes at the selected time.
On April 22, in Pahalgam, Jammu, and Kashmir, terrorists targeted tourists in a cowardly attack, resulting in 26 deaths. In response, India executed military action against terrorists on May 7, named Operation Sindoor. Despite this, Pakistan attempted to target Indian military sites, but India’s air defense thwarted every attack, delivering a strong message to Pakistan.
