Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will not participate in the India A vs. South Africa A three-match ODI series. This series will unfold from November 13 to November 19 at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot.

The series serves as a crucial preparation platform for regular white-ball players ahead of the India-South Africa ODI series, scheduled from November 30 to December 6.

Discussion on Rohit-Kohli

There were discussions about including Kohli and Rohit in the A series for game time before the ODIs. However, the selection committee has decided not to include them this time. BCCI hasn't clarified whether any talks occurred between selectors, Kohli, and Rohit regarding this possibility.

Tilak Varma has been appointed as the captain of the India A team, while Ruturaj Gaikwad takes on the vice-captaincy role. World No. 1 T20I batsman Abhishek Sharma, wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan, and Riyan Parag also feature in the team. The pace department includes Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, and Prasidh Krishna.
