The raid comes as a follow-up to the previous day's crackdown on Shikhar Pan Masala. Piyush Jain's perfume business operates out of Kannauj, and initial reports from the raid at his home suggest that the team requested a cash counting machine on the premises.

There are speculations that the raid by the Income Tax Department could uncover a considerable amount of undisclosed cash. The police were deployed outside the home to ensure robust security throughout the operation.
