Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi, the National President of All India Muslim Jamaat (AIMJ), made a statement regarding the Kumbh Mela being held in Prayagraj. Barelvi mentioned that a local resident, named Sartaj, has asserted that the preparations for the Kumbh Mela are taking place on Wakf land, which is approximately 55 bighas in size.
With a display of great generosity, the Muslim community has raised no objections. Despite all the arrangements for the Kumbh Mela happening on this Wakf land, the Akhara Parishad and several other sadhus are imposing restrictions on Muslim entry. In this scenario, the sadhus need to exhibit the same magnanimity shown by the Muslims.

Barelvi further stated that the Muslim community has always shown a large heart. However, the Akhara Parishad, comprising ascetics and monks, has restricted the entry of Muslims into the Kumbh Mela. In Prayagraj, Sartaj informed that a significant portion of the space where tents and exhibitions are set up is indeed Wakf property, owned by the Muslim community there. Remarkably, Muslims have never objected to the arrangements for the Kumbh Mela being held on their land. Meanwhile, the Akhara Parishad seems to object to Muslim entry.

In such a situation, Muslims won’t be entering the premises. Despite this, Muslims have shown no resistance regarding the event being organized on 55 bighas of Wakf land. This scenario presents an opportunity for all the spiritual figures to reconsider and appreciate the openheartedness demonstrated.
