Following reports on the blatant disregard for safety standards in Jaipur's sleeper buses, the transport department swiftly responded. Their vigilance team took action by issuing fines and seizing multiple buses.

On Aajtak, we revealed how greedy bus owners are turning sleeper buses into 'moving death traps,' blatantly ignoring passenger safety rules. Emergency exits were falsely labeled, and essential equipment like fire extinguishers and hammers were missing.

After our report, the transport department's blitz on sleeper buses in Jaipur continued. One bus en route from Ahmedabad was stopped for inspection, revealing the emergency exits jam-packed with luggage. The aisle was also blocked with bags.

Another emergency exit was obstructed by seats, including a bus from Parshwanath Travels owned by Yasmin Khan from Ahmedabad, which was seized with its passengers disembarked, to be impounded in the department's yard, where the owner will face legal action.

Another bus from Bhuj to Jaipur had seats installed obstructing both emergency exits, leading to fines and further action.

Yet another bus was confiscated from Sindhi Camp; while its emergency exits were visible from outside, they were tightly packed with four sleeper seats inside. Violating buses with roof carriers were dismantled and removed.
