The culmination of the four-day Kisan Kumbh in Haridwar, organized by the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), was marked by a grand assembly where 26 resolutions were adopted, setting an agenda for a 100-day struggle. Addressing the gathering, BKU's national spokesperson Rakesh Tikait emphasized the necessity of a robust organization to address the indifference of both central and state governments towards farmers' problems.

Tikait warned of widespread protests after the Kanwar Yatra if the government remains inattentive to the farmers' demands. He advocated for a united front to protect farmers' interests and set a target to build 25 'Kisan Bhavans' by 2025. He also highlighted the importance of a Minimum Support Price (MSP) guarantee law and called for its immediate implementation to aid farmers.

Rakesh Tikait reminded the central government of their manifesto promises and the retraction of the three farm bills, stressing the need for a strong land acquisition law and the protection of tribal farmers. Key proposals included the formation of a dedicated Farmers' Commission, ensuring free electricity for farmers, addressing the stray animal problem, and providing interest-free loans to farmers with small holdings.

The assembly shed light on the importance of healthy water systems and improved rural infrastructure. Discussing issues concerning the youth, Tikait called for the cancellation of the Agniveer scheme and urged the government to induct these youths into other security forces and provide an unemployment allowance. Additionally, he advocated for the establishment of a Youth Commission to address youth grievances and emphasized on promoting cottage and small industries among young farmers.
