MP News:

The Gwalior police have uncovered two high-profile fake marriage call centers operating within the city. Under the guise of websites like MyPartner India and Unique Rishtey, these centers deceived people with promises of marriage and friendship, leading to the arrest of 20 women and two female managers.

The shocking method of cheating revealed by the accused involves operating websites called mypartnerindia.com and uniquerishtey.com. Whenever an internet user would register on these sites, their details would be quickly transferred to the call center.

Call center employees would then download a photo of any beautiful girl from Google and send it via WhatsApp to customers matched to their caste and age.

If a customer was interested, a hefty membership fee was charged based on their profile. Once the payment was made, the call center's young women would impersonate as 'future brides' and engage in sweet conversations to ensure continuous payment for services.

Under the direction of SSP Dharmveer Singh Yadav and ASP Suman Gurjar, two crime branch teams simultaneously raided locations near Mayur Plaza and Dwarkadheesh Temple. At one center, 13 women, and at another, 7 women, were found trapping customers through chatting and calls.

Onsite, police arrested Rakhi Gaur (24) from Sankatmochan Nagar Suraiyapura Murar, and Sita alias Sheetal Chauhan (26) from Darpan Colony Thatipur. The main leader of the gang, Tileshwar Patel, remains at large and was responsible for managing data and the websites.

Authorities confiscated 45 mobile phones, 12 ATM cards, 2 computers, sim cards, and bank checkbooks and passbooks from the accused.

Approximately 1,500 people across the country fell victim to this fraud. Each center reportedly earned 2.5 to 3 lakh rupees per month. Women received a salary of 5,000 rupees plus bonuses upon achieving targets. They initially collected membership fees under the guise of arranging marriages, charging extra for conversations with the 'bride-to-be', while secretly altering their voices and identities.

Accounts in name of these women were found in over 10 banks including YES Bank, HDFC, SBI, and AXIS. Police are now investigating a one-year transaction history of these accounts.
