A deadly inferno engulfed a fireball manufacturing company located in the Daulatabad area of Gurugram. The fire claimed the lives of a security guard and three other employees, while five workers suffered severe burns.

Fire department officials reported that on Friday night at about 2:35 AM, they received information of a fire breaking out in the Daulatabad industrial sector. Responding units informed other stations upon assessing the situation, resulting in 12-13 fire engines arriving at the scene.

It was discovered that a security guard and three sleeping employees succumbed to the blaze, whereas five other employees were critically burnt.

According to the deputy director of the fire department, Gulshan Arora, initial investigations suggest that a short circuit led to the fire, triggering explosions within the fireballs.

Potassium, an explosive substance, is used in the manufacturing of fireballs. This was the apparent cause of the explosion. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause and whether the company had a valid fire NOC. Meanwhile, police reached the site and have sent the bodies of the deceased for autopsy.
