After a period of separation in Shivpuri, upon returning to Guna, the girl went back to reside with Ayan where he further subjected her to his inhumane acts. Ayan, a laborer by profession, is known for his substance addictions and causing disturbances in the neighborhood causing distress to the surrounding community.

The police have gathered additional evidence against the accused, pressing charges including rape. ASP Manas Singh Thakur stated that the accused has been taken on remand and has been charged under rape offenses. The police collected evidence by revisiting the crime scene.
