In a shocking development, five suspects in the high-profile Greater Kailash murder case have been remanded to 10-day police custody. The Delhi Police Special Cell acted swiftly, arresting four suspects: Nilesh Tiwari, Vishal Verma, Akash Yadav, and Naveen Balyan. Today, the fifth suspect, Sajid, was also apprehended on Saturday.
The Delhi Police presented all five suspects in court, where they were granted 10 days of police custody. According to the police, the next ten days will be crucial in uncovering the full conspiracy behind this murder. Initial investigations and a Facebook post by Bishnoi gang member Rohit Godara suggest that this is a gang war, which led to Nadir Shah's death.
Gangster Rohit Godara took to Facebook, claiming that the murder was executed at his behest as Nadir Shah was obstructing his gang's activities. It's worth noting that Nadir Shah also had a criminal background. The 35-year-old Shah had four criminal cases, including robbery, and was associated with Rohit Chaudhary's gang, a rival of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Nadir Shah had been on the Bishnoi gang's radar, as Godara's post indicated that Shah consistently hindered their operations. According to police sources, Nadir Shah had been living in Dubai but occasionally visited India for his dealings. A few days ago, Shah returned to India for a court date, but he was murdered before he could return to Dubai.
The police investigation is still ongoing, keeping all possibilities open. This means it's yet to be confirmed whether it was indeed the Lawrence Bishnoi gang's doing or a local gangster's job. However, if we consider the involvement of the Bishnoi gang and Rohit Godara's post, this incident marks the second case within ten days linked to this gang. The gang had also claimed responsibility for a shooting in Canada.
On the first of this month, renowned Punjabi singer Amritpal Singh Dhillon's home in Canada was fired upon. The shooters recorded the incident using body-worn cameras, showing how they fired fourteen bullets in mere 14 seconds. Following the attack, Godara again took to Facebook to claim responsibility for the shootout.
