In a shocking incident from Gonda district in Uttar Pradesh, a troubling case of harassment at a wedding ceremony has led to violent clashes, with several people getting injured in the chaos that ensued. The police swiftly responded, hospitalizing those hurt in the scuffle.

According to reports, the event took place in Ummatjat village during a wedding attended by numerous guests. Certain women part of the procession accused locals of harassment, sparking a heated argument. The situation quickly escalated to physical violence where sticks and rods were used.

The villagers didn't stop there; they damaged the vehicles of the guests, breaking windows with stones and sticks. Multiple people, including a woman, were injured in the attack, yet the altercation showed no signs of abating until the authorities were informed.

The arriving police officials managed to calm the situation and ensured immediate medical attention for the injured at a nearby hospital, where treatments are ongoing.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Shivraj, stated that upon receiving information about the fight, the police rushed to the scene to restore peace. An FIR has been lodged, and an investigation is currently underway.
