The architect behind the Mumbai attacks, Tahawwur Rana, is now in India's custody, having been extradited from the USA to Delhi on April 10th. His arrest once again highlights Pakistan's complicity in harboring terrorists. Despite this, Pakistan tries to distance itself from Rana, claiming he is a Canadian national and thus denying any links after his extradition.
Tahawwur Rana in India's Custody
Terrorist Tahawwur Rana was apprehended in Chicago in 2009 by the FBI for his involvement in the Mumbai attacks and an assault in Copenhagen. With testimony from co-conspirator David Headley, Rana was sentenced to 14 years in prison. Later, he was handed over to the NIA by U.S. authorities. Of Pakistani origin, he holds Canadian citizenship.

India has over ten criminal charges against Rana, ranging from murder to conspiracy and involvement in terrorist activities. Investigators hope his testimony will reveal critical details on the 26/11 attacks. Through interrogations, insights into Pakistan’s involvement, identities of Rana’s associates, and the conspiracy behind the attacks will be uncovered.
Live Capture of Ajmal Kasab Post Mumbai Attacks
Rana is just one name linked to Pakistan's international embarrassment. Ajmal Kasab, another culprit from the 26/11 Mumbai attack, was caught alive. On November 26, 2008, ten terrorists infiltrated Mumbai via sea from Pakistan, proceeding with planned attacks. Under the remote guidance of Hafiz Saeed and Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi from a control room, these terrorists executed the gruesome raid, lasting 60 hours. Security forces neutralized nine terrorists and captured Kasab alive.

Kasab was eventually executed on November 21, 2012, buried in Pune’s Yerwada Jail. The attacks, orchestrated by Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists, resulted in 166 deaths and over 300 injuries.
Osama bin Laden's Termination
In a bold act, American forces invaded Pakistan, eliminating Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, mastermind of the 9/11 attacks. On May 2, 2011, SEAL commandos stormed his hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan. Despite being forewarned, all escape routes were blocked. A live broadcast was shown in the White House during the operation. After being shot, a DNA test confirmed his identity.

U.S had traced bin Laden to Pakistan and initiated Operation Neptune Spear. Commandos reached the hideout where Bin Laden hid with his family, carrying out the successful mission.
Dawood Ibrahim, India's Foe
Another notorious figure in hiding is Dawood Ibrahim, prime suspect of the 1993 Mumbai bombings, designated a terrorist by the USA. Post-attacks, he fled India, and despite Pakistan's denials, India has solid evidence of his presence in Karachi, running illegal businesses.

After carrying out the serial bombings in Mumbai, Dawood fled to Dubai and eventually settled in Pakistan, where he resides with his family. He’s implicated in various crimes, including terrorism, murder, abduction, and drug trafficking, leading the U.S to label him a Global Terrorist.
Hafiz Saeed Roams Free
Despite international pressure, Hafiz Saeed, head of Lashkar-e-Taiba, operates freely in Pakistan. Known for inciting terrorism and masterminding the Mumbai attacks, he is yet presented as a religious leader in Pakistan.

As the founder of LeT and Jamaat-ud-Dawa, Saeed incites hostility against India, guiding Headley for reconnaissance and overseeing terrorist training. During the Mumbai attacks, he directed operations from Karachi. International authorities, including the UN, recognize him as a Global Terrorist.
Culprit Behind the Kandahar Hijacking
Part of Pakistan's international disgrace is Masood Azhar, founder of Jaish-e-Mohammed, responsible for multiple attacks in India, including the 1998 Kandahar hijacking and the 2001 Parliament assault. The UN Security Council has declared Azhar a Global Terrorist.
Despite India's persistent efforts at international platforms to expose Hafiz Saeed and Pakistan’s actions, Pakistan continues to provide sanctuary to these globally recognized terrorists.
