On the border of Dandarpur village in Etawah, chaos erupted on Thursday, June 26. The police faced stone-throwing, vehicles were damaged, and the situation escalated to a point where aerial firing was necessary. The spotlight has been on a man named Gagan Yadav throughout this incident. Gagan is the founder and president of an organization called 'Indian Reformers Organisation,' which advocates for the creation of an 'Ahir Regiment' in the Indian Army. Hence, this organization is also known by this name.

Gagan Yadav announced a gathering in Dandarpur village on social media, which led to a significant congregation of people from the Yadav community. When the police prevented them from entering the village, they began pelting stones. However, Gagan himself was stopped in Agra and did not make it to Etawah.

Before the 'Etawah March,' Gagan Yadav's post read - 'In honor of Sant Singh Yadav, we're taking to the field... On June 26, 2025. Thursday. Time: 11 AM. Police Station Bakewar and District Etawah.' Gagan describes himself on his Facebook bio as a young leader with a socialist ideology. However, after the controversy, the Samajwadi Party labels him a BJP agent, while the BJP calls him a close associate of Akhilesh from SP.

Gagan's Reaction to the Mistreatment of Narrators in Etawah

In a conversation with 'Aaj Tak' in Agra, Gagan Yadav said - 'The incident with the narrators was highly condemnable. That's why I decided to personally visit Etawah and resolve the conflict between the two communities. The date of June 26 was set. This information was shared on social media, and thousands of people gathered there, waiting for me. But the police administration stopped me in Agra.'

According to Gagan, 'We had intended to reach there by 11 AM, but as soon as we arrived in Agra from Delhi, the entire administration came to my home to convince and stop me. Officials said I should not go to Etawah, which is on high alert. They have orders from above to prevent Gagan Yadav's arrival there.'

Gagan Yadav stated that they are seeking peace and left home with this purpose in mind. Their only goal is to resolve the dispute between the two communities. However, the administration has placed him under house arrest. They assured that once the situation calms down, they will arrange a meeting with senior officers. For now, Gagan has decided to return, saying, 'I am the son of a soldier... I've seen uniforms since childhood and respect them. We'll return to Etawah to speak with the captain again.'

It is noteworthy that Dandarpur is the same village where narrators Mukut Mani Yadav and his associate Sant Yadav were mistreated. This incident brought the Yadav and Brahmin communities into opposition. Police have filed FIRs against both parties. Political ferment has ensued, with SP and BJP leaders exchanging accusations.
