Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, on Monday shared an intriguing tale of a Mercedes car owner. The individual was captured on CCTV, swiping decorative flower pots set up for the G-20 summit.
As per CM Yogi: "The G-20 summit was hosted in Lucknow. We constructed a beautiful street, decorated it with flower pots, and placed CCTV cameras around. One day, I noticed from the footage that the flower pots were missing. I observed someone arrived in a Mercedes and drove away with the pots."
Addressing the convocation ceremony at Babu Banarasi Das University, Yogi Adityanath remarked, "Consider the worth of a Mercedes compared to a flower pot." He noted that if not caught, such incidents can mar the administration's efforts. Instructions were given to confront the individual with the CCTV evidence.
Yogi Adityanath continued, "The person was shown the footage, clearly displaying the car and their face, and was subsequently released. This is the current state of affairs."
Speaking at the convocation, he further emphasized, "Educational institutions should intertwine technology with values to build a robust foundation for a 'Developed India'." Notably, in February 2023, Lucknow hosted a three-day G-20 Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG) meeting.
