In the district of Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, a horrifying murder of Dr. R.K. Vishwas’s 31-year-old son, Prateesh, also known as Pintu, was executed. On the night of December 19, while home alone, Prateesh was slain, and the suspects are two compounders employed at the doctor's clinic.
The accused attacked Prateesh with scissors, injected him with anesthesia, and weighted his body with stones and gravel, eventually dumping it in a pond behind their home. The police have revealed that this act was fueled by an objectionable video and lingering resentment after being dismissed from employment. Both suspects have been apprehended and jailed.
An Assault with Scissors and Anesthesia Dose
On the fateful night in Faizganj Behta police station area, Dr. R.K. Vishwas was visiting Bengal with his elder son, leaving the house unguarded. The compounders seized the opportunity, entered the home, and repeatedly stabbed the sleeping Prateesh in his limbs and abdomen with scissors. To completely immobilize him, anesthesia was administered. Once Prateesh succumbed to his injuries, they devised a sinister plan to dispose of his body.
Body Immersed and Weighted Down with Stones
To conceal the murder, the perpetrators tied heavy stones to Prateesh’s limbs and wrapped his abdomen with a sack full of gravel, ensuring the body wouldn’t surface. On December 20, upon the family's return, Prateesh was found missing. Despite the search, it wasn’t until December 22 that his father noticed his son's body floating in the pond, sparking widespread panic and initiating a police investigation.

The Secrets of Vengeance and a Scandalous Video
SP Rural Hridayesh Katheria reported that the murder stemmed from deep-seated personal animosity. Investigations revealed Prateesh held an incriminating video of an accused’s mother, exploiting it for blackmail and humiliation. Another had been dismissed from the clinic six months ago over theft allegations. Together, they conspired to eliminate Prateesh, ultimately leading to his demise.
Forty Years of Hard Work, Shattered Family
Dr. Vishwas, who settled in Badaun from Siliguri four decades ago, could never have predicted the betrayal from his own employees resulting in his son's tragic murder. Prateesh’s brother, Sintoo, a doctor in Delhi, is devastated by the incident. The police have recovered the scissors, syringe, and other materials used in the murder. The apprehended compounders have been placed under judicial custody, and legal proceedings are underway.
