On Tuesday, Indrani Mukerjea, the wife of former Star India CEO Peter Mukerjea, was arrested by the Mumbai police. She faces charges of murdering her own sister. Indrani was also the CEO of media company INX. According to reports, in 2012, Indrani allegedly murdered her sister Sheena and subsequently disposed of her body. The court has remanded her in police custody until August 31 on murder charges. It’s worth noting that Indrani married Peter Mukerjea, former CEO of Star India, in 2002, which was his second marriage. She worked as an HR consultant when Peter chaired INX Media. They both left the group in 2009.
