The monsoon rains have turned into a disaster across several states in India. Himachal Pradesh has felt the brunt of this catastrophe the most. Since June, the state has endured 91 flash floods, 45 instances of cloud bursts, and 95 significant landslides. Over 4,000 homes have been completely destroyed, and 666 roads in Himachal Pradesh remain closed. Moreover, 985 power transformers and 495 water supply schemes have been affected. It can be said that floods and rains have unleashed severe devastation in Himachal.

Starting from June-July, the havoc continues into September without showing signs of relief. The majestic mountains of Himachal Pradesh are relentlessly eroding.
