Firozabad's CMO Disputes SDM Kriti Raj's Claims, Asserts No Shortage of Injections or Expired Medicines Found

SDM (Sadar) Kriti Raj of Firozabad is making headlines. Recently, she conducted a surprise inspection at the primary health center in Deedamai, exposing several deficiencies. Her video went viral on social media, which was also shared by SP chief

. However, the district's Chief Medical Officer (CMO) has now outright dismissed the flaws identified by SDM Kriti Raj during her inspection.

SDM Kriti Raj, after her inspection, had claimed that the community health center in Deedamai was not treating patients who came for anti-rabies injections properly. People had been waiting in line since 10 AM, but the doctors were nowhere to be seen.

. She stood in line, registered herself, and saw the doctor. However, during her visit, she found the doctor's behavior to be unsatisfactory. When the attendance register was checked, many staff members were absent; some had signed in but were not actually present.

Furthermore, SDM claimed to have found expired medications in the hospital's stock room. According to SDM Kriti Raj, a significant number of medicines were found to be expired. She also noted a lack of cleanliness, with dirty toilets and bed sheets, and injections not being administered properly. She felt that hospital services were not being carried out with a sense of public service.

The CMO Debunks SDM's Claims

Regarding SDM's claims, Chief Medical Officer Rambadan Ram stated that they found no expired medications. One or two medicines that had expired were kept in a separate box, although their expiration wasn't until April, but were separated as a precaution.

The CMO went on to state that after the media report, he personally inspected the health center. Anti-rabies injections had been administered to patients continuously from 8 AM. The doctors and staff were working properly, and no complaints were found. Any shortcomings will be addressed, and action will be taken if necessary following an investigation. Currently, efforts are being made to improve cleanliness.

The CMO also mentioned that a committee of three doctors has been formed to investigate the matter and they will report back within 72 hours. This report will then be forwarded to the government.
