Delish Blaze: Taj Express Engulfed, Passengers Evacuated Safely

Next to Delhi's Sarita Vihar station, Taj Express's three coaches caught fire. Six fire brigades arrived on site instantly. According to DCP Railways, no injuries occurred.

Close to the Sarita Vihar police station in Delhi, a sudden fire caught in three carriages of the Taj Express. Upon receiving the information, six fire-fighting vehicles were dispatched instantly to the scene. According to the DCP of Railways, no injuries or damages were reported from the train fire incident. Timely action ensured all passengers were safely evacuated.

DCP Railways, K.P.S. Malhotra, reported that they received a fire alert on June 3rd at 4.41 AM from PCR, located near the Apollo Hospital. The site revealed that three carriages of the Taj Express were ablask. The train was halted, and thankfully, no casualties were reported as passengers had already moved to other coaches or disembarked. Further action is being taken by railway authorities.

On Wednesday (May 29), a passenger train traveling from Gorakhpur to Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh also caught fire, causing a stir among passengers. However, the fire was quickly brought under control, averting any damages. Railway workers took control and extinguished the fire upon receiving the alert.

RPF Station House Officer (SHO) Surendra Ram Paswan said, "At Bharwari railway station, undercarriage of one coach of train number 15004, Chauri Chaura Express caught fire, but was doused by railway staff in time."
