Pantograph flashing not a threat to passenger safety: DMRC

The DMRC explained that the fire incident was due to 'pantograph flashing', a sometimes occurrence when foreign objects become lodged in the OHE (Overhead Equipment) and the pantograph. Such incidents pose no threat to passenger safety. However, the matter is under investigation.

Moreover, the affected pantograph was immediately withdrawn from service, and after about 5 minutes of troubleshooting, the train resumed its journey as usual with the remaining operational pantographs.
