During Eid festivities, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Mehbooba Mufti and National Conference president Farooq Abdullah issued statements addressing the plight of Muslims. They emphasized the need for mercy towards Muslims who are navigating through difficult times globally. Eid is being celebrated in Jammu and Kashmir today, April 10th.
Abdullah called upon Allah to bestow mercy on Muslims everywhere, facing trials, whether it be in our nation or Palestine. It pains him that while people are dying in Palestine, Islamic governments remain silent. He urged these governments to awaken.
'People of Jammu and Kashmir are trapped in challenging circumstances'
Mufti remarked that Muslims are in severe distress. She advocated for Palestine's liberation and called on everyone to aid those in need and pray for freeing Palestine from its chains. The people of Jammu and Kashmir are caught in difficult situations; let us pray for their liberation from these hard times.
Abdullah hopes that brotherhood will prevail in our country and that all respect each other’s religions. On Pakistan, he posits that it would be beneficial if we could coexist as friends. Abdullah also announced that later this week, he will unveil two more candidate names.
