Farmer Murdered Over Pathway Dispute in Daylight Attack

In the broad daylight of Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh, a farmer was ruthlessly murdered with a sharp weapon amidst a land dispute. At the same time, two individuals were severely injured and have since been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. Upon receiving the news, the police arrived at the scene and launched an investigation. Preliminary inquiries suggest that the murder was the result of a dispute over a right of way.

According to information sourced, 35-year-old farmer Amit Singh from the Gazipur police jurisdiction and his two nephews were returning home from the fields, carrying harvested chickpeas through a path that crossed through the Pāl community's fields. A conflict arose between the two parties over the path, which escalated to the extent that four or five individuals from the opposing party murdered Amit Singh with a sharp-edged weapon.

In trying to mediate the fight, two nephews were injured

Amidst the scuffle, Amit Singh's nephews, 23-year-old Dhananjay Singh and Rishi Singh, were gravely wounded. They have been hospitalized for treatment, and the assailants have fled the scene. Following the incident, the police promptly reached and sent the body for autopsy and are engaged in further legal proceedings. Meanwhile, the police are investigating to apprehend the culprits.

The dispute began over using the accused’s fields as a pathway

ASP Fatehpur, Vijay Shankar Mishra reported that Amit Singh Hada was carrying chickpeas in his field. During this, a dispute over the right of way with the Pāl community led to a violent altercation. Amit Singh Hada was attacked with a sharp weapon by four or five individuals and was killed as a result.
