The case of a gangrape in a moving car in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, turned out to be fabricated. The girl wanted to marry her boyfriend and ran away from home because he couldn't come to meet her. She ended up at her aunt's house, where the aunt created a false story of gangrape to frame neighbors and extort money. The police have arrested the girl, the aunt, and her son, revealing the conspiracy.
Jhansi police conducted an investigation and examined 50-60 CCTV footages, exposing the fake gangrape. SSP Jhansi, Rajesh S, disclosed that the entire plot was scripted by the girl's aunt to falsely implicate a neighboring person involved in an old dispute and to extort a hefty amount of money. Upon revealing the plot, the police filed a case against the girl, the aunt, and her son, taking them into custody.
It is noteworthy that the entire incident occurred in the Premnagar police station area of Jhansi. On August 21, a 17-year-old girl arrived at the police station with her aunt and the entire family, reporting that on the morning of August 20, while she went for her daily routine, three young men from the village abducted her in a car and two of them raped her. They then left her near a temple and fled.
Based on the complaint, the police filed a case and arrested the two young men. During the investigation, CCTV cameras installed from her house to the city, covering around 50 to 60 cameras, were reviewed based on the sequence of events narrated by the girl. However, during the alleged incident, no car was seen entering or leaving the village on the cameras. Instead, the girl was captured alone around 7 AM boarding an auto-rickshaw at a petrol pump on the outskirts of the village.

Following this, at 7:21 AM, she arrived at Jhansi's Jail Chauraha, where she attempted to call her village neighbor from the mobile of a restaurant employee but couldn't connect. She was then seen wandering around on foot. Later, she reached a shop in Khushipura, bought a pair of artificial anklets and rings, and called her boyfriend to Jhansi Fort from the shopkeeper's mobile. When he didn’t come, she reached her aunt's house at around 10:15 AM.
Here, her aunt and her cousin devised a plan to settle old scores and frame the opponents, extorting a hefty amount from them. They fabricated the false gangrape story with the girl, but the CCTV cameras exposed the entire ploy.
