The video of a speaker in Etawah being beaten, having their hair cut, and forced to rub a woman's foot with their nose went viral, igniting political controversy. Four suspects have been arrested. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav expressed strong objections to the incident.

Before the incident, Saint Singh Yadav and Mukutmani shared the full story. Singh Yadav stated that the incident happened in Danarpur village. We came here for a recitation. We met a temple reader and Pappu Maharaj, who invited us to narrate the stories. We arrived in the village for the recitation as requested. The main speaker is Mukutmani Shastri, and I assist him.

Previously a School Teacher

Saint Yadav shared that they had begun the recitation with the initial verse. In the evening, villagers inquired about our origins. We mentioned we were from Kanpur. We had been schoolteachers, but the school closed, so we began this recitation. They replied that they heard our caste is insignificant. We responded we're Yadav. They asked for ID, but we didn't have papers. We said, 'Get our contact number and verify with our home.'

Beaten Upon Hearing 'Yadav'

They took our number and asked my son. As soon as they heard 'Yadav,' they exclaimed, 'This is a village of the Brahmins.' They beat us severely for entering their village as Yadavs. They tortured us throughout the night, even cutting our hair. Singh Yadav accused them of sprinkling a woman's urine on us, saying, 'Now you're purified.' Singh Yadav asserts that everything was disclosed initially, yet we were mistreated for daring to enter a Brahmin village and sit on the seat meant for them.

Wanted Only a Brahmin Speaker

Mukut Mani narrates that he is a religious speaker. The villagers detained me, confiscated my phone, took 25,000 rupees, a chain, and four rings. They returned three rings later. They kicked and punched us, then made us touch their feet. My assistant teacher's hair was cut first, then mine. They chanted hymns to Bajrangbali and eventually threw us out. The reason was our caste, Yadav, but they wanted a Brahmin speaker. I told them this should have been clear before hiring us. Initially, they didn’t care their Yadav, but once they heard it, they said, 'This is a Brahmin village; you cannot perform here.'
