After 75 intense days, the parliamentary campaign finally draws to a muted close on this Thursday. Wrapping up massive rallies, election assemblies, and roadshows, big names like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi, JP Nadda, Yogi Adityanath, and Priyanka Gandhi have held their final rallies, while Mamata Banerjee marked significant presence with an 8-kilometer walk in Kolkata. PM Modi concluded his series in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, before heading to Kanyakumari for a 45-hour meditation retreat. Departing from there on June 1st at 3 PM, he will see voting unfold across 57 seats in 8 states including his Varanasi constituency. Opposition voices raise concerns over code of conduct violations due to Modi's solitary meditation just before the voting.

Throughout the marathon of a seven-phase electoral programme, political heavyweights left no stone unturned. PM Modi alone led 172 rallies and roadshows, whereas Amit Shah organized 115 rallies and 18 roadshows. JP Nadda took the stage 87 times. In the opposition camp, Rahul Gandhi held 107 rallies and roadshows, Akhilesh Yadav marked 69 rallies and 4 roadshows, and Mamata Banerjee made her mark with 61 rallies alongside several roadshows and marches.

Amit Shah tallied an impressive 221 electoral events including rallies, roadshows, and public programs. BJP President JP Nadda covered 23 states and four union territories, vigorously campaigning across 125 Lok Sabha constituencies and conducting 134 public meets and roadshows. Nadda's travels spanned a staggering 85,957 kilometers. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh contributed with 101 electoral appearances, 94 rallies, and seven roadshows.

In contrast, the Congress brigade—Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Mallikarjun Kharge—saw Priyanka leading the pack with more than 140 rallies and roadshows, including 100 media bytes, and five comprehensive print interviews. Kharge's campaign consisted of over 100 rallies, more than 20 press conferences, and upwards of 50 interviews.

The final vote may be looming, but the INDIA alliance's certainty of victory is outspoken. Statements from the coalition suggest a Prime Minister decision within 48 hours of securing victory. Jayaram Ramesh conveyed this assurance, highlighting that the highest seat winner will assume the Prime Minister role. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has also staked a significant claim for June 4th, projecting that the INDIA alliance will form a comprehensive government focused on inclusivity, nationalism, and developmental agendas.

BJP Assesses Its Performance Post-Campaign

Following campaign wrap-up, BJP pivots to evaluate its electoral showing. High-command feedback suggests a potential repeat Modi government, with estimates of better-than-2019 performances in states like Odisha, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh—altogether housing 244 Lok Sabha seats, 94 of which were won by the BJP and its allies previously.

An aggressive campaign by BJP during the final stretch, leveraged allegations against Congress regarding resource allocation to minorities, stoking fears of reservation removal and constitutional amendments. As each camp asserts their claims, the people's mandate, now sealed in EVMs, awaits reveal on June 4th, ultimately validating the true strength behind these towering campaign narratives.
