With the Lok Sabha elections in their final phase, the spotlight turns to Prime Minister Modi's constituency, Varanasi. Ahead of the polls, PM Modi released a video message initiating it with the chant 'Har Har Mahadev' and addressing the people in the Bhojpuri language. He shared that Mother Ganga has embraced him and representing Varanasi has been possible only with Lord Vishwanath's boundless grace and the blessings of its citizens.

In his video message, PM Modi stated that the upcoming Election Day is a momentous occasion. Varanasi, for him, represents the essence of devotion, power, and resignation. He describes Varanasi as the world's cultural capital, a fertile ground for music and intellectual debate, serving as representative of the city is a privilege conferred by divine favor and the people's goodwill.

While calling for voter participation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, 'This election is not only for a new Varanasee to emerge but it is also for the creation of a developed India. The people of Varanasi must strive to create a record turnout on June 1st. I remember the youth being highly enthusiastic on the day of my nomination. Now, I urge that same enthusiasm to be witnessed at every voting booth.'

Addressing the voters in his video message, PM Modi remarked, 'Dear citizens, in the past decade, Varanasi has actively supported and guided the central government's initiatives. The majestic abode of Baba Vishwanath, the Ring Road project, development of Varanasi railway station, and the rope-way development at the Ganga ghats these not just elevate Varanasee but the entire Northeast towards progress.

The years ahead promise to accelerate this development, powered by your vote. Varanasi has transformed into a hub of youth welfare and development in the last decade. I have seen the passion of the populace during Parliamentary Sports competitions. Whether it's the stadiums in Sigra and Gangajari, the Banas Dairy, perishable cargo facilities in Rajatalab, or the successful treatment of cataract for millions, the growth spurred by tourism, every scheme is infusing new strength into the youth, women, and farmers of Varanasi.'
