A man from Uttar Pradesh, working at a private firm in Bengaluru, tragically ended his journey, leaving behind a comprehensive 24-page note. He accused his wife and her relatives of harrowing torment, alleging that she's filed several legal cases against him and is now demanding a hefty 30 million rupees. Atul Subhash was a Deputy General Manager in Artificial Intelligence (AI) at Mahindra & Mahindra in Bengaluru City.

The Bengaluru police reported that the incident occurred in the Manjunath Layout area within the jurisdiction of Marathahalli Police Station. A senior officer revealed that preliminary investigations indicated ongoing discord between Atul Subhash and his wife, who had filed cases against him in Uttar Pradesh.

A Tragic Scene in His Bedroom

Reports suggest that a distress call was made to the police around 6 AM on December 9, providing a chilling account of the suicide. Upon arrival, they found the residence locked from the inside. With local assistance, they gained entry, discovering that 34-year-old Atul Subhash had sadly hung himself with a nylon rope from the ceiling fan in his bedroom.

A Brother's Revelations

The family in Uttar Pradesh was informed, and subsequently, his brother Vikas Kumar arrived at the scene. Vikas shared that Atul's wife, her mother, brother, and uncle had ensnared him in false cases, demanding 30 million rupees. This immense stress led Atul into deep depression, ultimately claiming his life. Based on the victim's family's complaint, a case was registered under sections 108 and 3(5) of the BNS Act at Marathahalli Station, and the investigation continues.

The Police's Insight

Authorities disclosed that he had disseminated his suicide note via email to numerous individuals and shared it with an NGO's WhatsApp group he was associated with. In his message, he wrote, "Sir, this message is to say goodbye. If possible, please assist my family. Thank you for everything till now." He also included links to his video and suicide note.

According to the police, Subhash had put up a sign in his house stating, 'Justice is still awaited.' Before ending his life, Atul Subhash meticulously placed important details on his wardrobe, including the suicide note, car keys, and a list of unfinished tasks.
