The tragic suicide of Bengaluru-based engineer Atul Subhash has left many in shock. Prior to taking this drastic step, Atul recorded a harrowing hour-and-a-half long video, laying blame on his wife and her relatives. Within this recording, Atul voiced his concerns about the judicial system, addressing the perceived neglect of men's issues by the legal bodies, and making allegations against the family court judge in Jaunpur.

In his video, Atul incriminated his wife as the catalyst for his demise, citing her escalating financial demands—from an initial 10 million rupees to a staggering 30 million rupees—as the cause. He was denied even the simple joy of seeing his son's face. After falling ill post-marriage, his wife’s family had also lodged a murder FIR against him. As per Atul’s claims, a judge demanded a bribe of 500,000 rupees to settle his case, and even laughed off his wife’s suggestion that he should commit suicide.

What did Atul say about the Judge?

Atul’s video contained serious allegations against Jaunpur’s family court judge, accusing her of extortion and harassment. He conveyed that he had to bribe court clerks for hearing dates. Atul claimed the judge tried coercing him into a 30 million rupee settlement while also soliciting a 500,000 rupee bribe, promising case resolution by December. His complaints against her pointed to a deeply ingrained corruption within the system.

What were Atul's views on the Court and Police?

In his final words, Atul expressed deep despair: "It seems death is preferable to benefiting my adversaries with the money I earn. These funds are used against me and those I love. Our taxes fuel a system that only magnifies our troubles. I wish for my absence to relieve my family from the burdens that tormented me."

Atul's Words About his Son

Deprived of seeing his 4.5-year-old son, Atul left a gift intended for him to open at age 18 in 2038. His final wishes involved entrusting his son to his parents, ensuring he is raised with positive values and love. He assured that his family would nurture him with great care.
