Team India's cricketer Rinku Singh and SP MP Priya Saroj have taken their relationship a step further with a beautiful engagement ceremony. The couple exchanged rings on June 8 (Sunday) in the presence of their families and friends at the five-star Centrum Hotel in Lucknow. The memorable event saw the presence of eminent sports figures such as former cricketers Praveen Kumar and Piyush Chawla, alongside Aryan Juyal, the captain of UP's Ranji team.
During the ceremony, Rinku Singh donned a crisp white suit while Priya Saroj looked resplendent in a pink dress. Overcome with emotion, tears of joy glistened in Priya's eyes as she reached the stage. The couple later posed for smiles, radiating happiness to the gathered 300 guests. Guests included prominent personalities like SP leader Akhilesh Yadav, Professor Ramgopal Yadav, Jaya Bachchan, and BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla.
The couple curated special rings for each other, with Priya choosing a custom designer ring from Kolkata, while Rinku selected an exquisite piece from Mumbai. Together, the rings are valued around 2.5 lakh rupees. Reflecting their tastes, the menu boasted favorites including Priya's Bengali rasgulla and kaju paneer rolls, while Rinku's preferred paneer tikka and matar malai were also featured.

Priya had thoughtfully invited SP President Akhilesh Yadav and MP Dimple Yadav to the special occasion. Other notable SP leaders and MPs present included Ramgopal Yadav and Pushpendra Saroj.
Rinku Singh, 27, recently played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL season, although his performance was below expectations. In total, he played 11 innings, scoring 206 runs at an average of 29.42 and a strike rate of 153.73.

Turning attention to Priya Saroj, she clinched the Machhlishahr seat on an SP ticket during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, defeating BP Saroj by a margin of 35,850 votes. She was born on November 23, 1998, in Varanasi and completed her schooling at Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute in New Delhi.
Furthering her education, Priya graduated with an arts degree from Delhi University and then secured an LLB from Amity University in Noida. Her father, Toofani Saroj, has served thrice as a Lok Sabha MP and is currently an SP MLA from the Kerakat seat.
