On the occasion of America's 249th Independence Day, President Donald Trump enacted the much-discussed One Big Beautiful Law. Amidst this, Elon Musk, a former associate and prominent entrepreneur, announced the creation of a new political party called the 'America Party'. He emphasized that this party aims to liberate the American people from the one-party system, stirring waves in the political landscape.
Musk announced the establishment of his new political party on X. In his post, he referenced a recent survey and stated, 'The formation of America Party is dedicated to reclaiming your lost freedom.'
He claimed that in the survey, the public expressed a 2:1 desire for a new political choice. A new party is what you wanted, and here it stands now.

Why Form a Party?
In his announcement, Musk critiqued the current political setup, saying, 'We live in a one-party situation when it comes to bankruptcy through waste and corruption—not a democracy.' He added that the 'America Party' is formed to restore your lost freedoms.
On July 4th, during American Independence Day celebrations, Musk posted a poll on his platform X, asking followers, 'Isn’t now the perfect time to discuss freedom from the two-party (or some call it one-party) system! Should we form the America Party?'
Over 65% Supported Musk in Poll
In the poll, 65.4% voted 'yes' while 34.6% voted 'no'. Musk cited this strong public backing as his inspiration to launch the party and framed it as a reflection of growing public discontent with both major parties: the Republicans and Democrats.
Previously, Musk hinted at the possibility of launching a third political party in America through a positive response to a post on X, which claimed the move was akin to his ventures with Tesla and SpaceX—challenging, yet potentially groundbreaking if successful.
Musk’s announcement of a new political party comes as he distances himself from the Trump administration and steps away from DOGE, marking a significant shift in his political and public life.
