Emirates Airlines of Dubai has announced a significant update for passengers. As per this announcement, no passenger will be permitted to travel with pagers and walkie-talkies on Emirates flights. This decision follows explosions in these communication devices in Lebanon, which led to numerous fatalities and injuries.

In the attacks last September, thousands of pagers and hundreds of radios belonging to Hezbollah were bombed. Hezbollah blamed Israel for these attacks, although they did not claim responsibility. Considering security concerns, Emirates Airlines has decided to take this step.

According to the airline, "Passengers traveling to or from Dubai are prohibited from carrying pagers and walkie-talkies." It further stated that such devices found with passengers will be seized by Dubai Police.

Emirates Airlines Suspends Services

In addition to this ban, Emirates has also suspended some of its flights. Flights to Iran and Iraq will remain suspended until Tuesday, while services to Jordan will resume from Sunday. Flights to Lebanon are suspended until October 15, due to intensified Israeli actions against Hezbollah following attacks.

Many other airlines have also suspended their flights to Beirut and other regional airports amid growing tensions. This situation has impacted regional stability and caused a wave of concern among travelers, with increased congestion at airports.

What's the War Situation?

Meanwhile, while airlines are halting services or imposing restrictions, the Israeli army is focused on dismantling Hezbollah in Lebanon. Israel has reportedly struck a major blow against Hezbollah's leader Hassan Nasrallah. The rising tensions between Iran and Israel increase the threat of a large-scale war.
