An intense encounter erupted today between security forces and terrorists in Tral, Awantipora, Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces successfully neutralized three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists. The operation continues as the search for hidden terrorists is underway. Drone footage from the Tral encounter has emerged, showcasing the unfolding events.
The drone video reveals terrorists in hiding, with additional footage capturing the neutralization of a terrorist. It is suspected that more terrorists might be concealed in the area.
The three neutralized terrorists were residents of Tral, identified as Asif Ahmed Sheikh, Amir Nazir Wani, and Yawar Ahmed Butt.
The encounter is ongoing in Nadr village, Tral. This marks the second encounter in Pulwama in 48 hours. Previously on Tuesday, three Lashkar terrorists were neutralized in Shopian.
Post-neutralization, the Indian Army stated that following intelligence inputs, a search operation was launched on May 15 in Nadr, Tral. The Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and CRPF encircled the area. Detecting suspicious activities, fire was exchanged with the terrorists. The operation proceeds.
Neutralization of Lashkar Terrorists in Shopian
On Tuesday, under a special operation, security forces neutralized three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in Shopian. The terrorists were cornered in the Jinpath Kerr area, in an operation named Operation Kerr.
Among the terrorists, Shahid Kutte was identified, a Shopian resident who joined Lashkar on March 8, 2023. He was involved in the BJP Sarpanch’s murder in Heerpora, Shopian on May 18, 2024. Another identified terrorist is Adnan Shafi Dar from Wanduna Melhora, Shopian, who joined on October 18, 2024. He was involved in the murder of a non-local laborer in Shopian on October 18, 2024.

The posters of terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack were displayed across Shopian. Authorities have announced a reward of 2 million rupees for information leading to the terrorists. The army has intensified the search for the Pakistani terrorists responsible for the death of innocent tourists in Pahalgam.
