The LG Secretariat has taken a serious step concerning the Aam Aadmi Party's announcement of giving 2100 rupees under the Women's Respect Scheme. It has called upon the Divisional Commissioner to investigate the methodology followed by these private entities in collecting personal data. Furthermore, actions are to be taken against those violating data confidentiality under the pretense of offering benefits, according to the police commissioner. In an escalated move, the LG Secretariat has issued three distinct memos to Delhi's Chief Secretary and the Police Commissioner. These communications were prompted after a series of complaints submitted personally by a Congress leader and candidate from the New Delhi Assembly to the LG.

What's detailed in the memo?

1) The declaration by AAP to provide 2100 rupees to eligible female voters2) Alleged presence of Punjab intelligence officers at proposed Congress candidates' residences in Delhi3) Accusations regarding cash transfers to Delhi from various parts of Punjab before the Delhi Assembly elections

AAP's Response to the LG's Note

A statement from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) follows the LG's note, asserting that the BJP intends to halt the Women's Respect Scheme in Delhi, claiming the order originated from Amit Shah's office rather than the LG Office. AAP alleges that BJP does not respect women and has accepted defeat in the Delhi elections. They argue that the women's scheme enjoys full support from women in Delhi.

Challenges Against AAP’s Scheme

Currently, no Sanjeevani or Women Respect Scheme is implemented in Delhi, a fact stressed by two departments of the Delhi government through official notices. This assertion holds significant weight, as AAP activists are conducting extensive registration drives for these schemes across the city.

Health Department’s Statement

The Health and Family Welfare Department has explicitly mentioned that in reference to the 'Sanjeevani Scheme', it claims to provide free treatment for residents over 60 years in all Delhi hospitals. However, no such scheme exists. The department argues that unauthorized persons have started registration campaigns, seeking personal details like Aadhaar and bank account information from senior citizens and distributing counterfeit health scheme cards. The Delhi Health Department advises the public against believing such unofficial schemes offering free treatment and sharing personal information.

Women and Child Development Department’s Warning

The Women and Child Development Department (WCD) has issued a public notice warning the community regarding activities surrounding the 'Chief Minister's Women Respect Scheme'. The department clarified that no such scheme has been notified by the Delhi government. Claims of money distribution under the scheme are unfounded. Delhiites are advised not to share any personal information with anyone or any political party claiming to represent this scheme, as it could lead to cybercrimes or banking fraud.
