How Did the Basement Flood?
This raises the question of how so much water accumulated in the basement, posing a life-threatening condition to the students. According to eyewitness accounts, 30-35 students were in the library located in the basement. When the library closed at 7 PM and we exited, water with immense pressure flooded in. By the time we evacuated the library, the water had already risen to knee-level.
