The controversy over the Youth Congress's protest during last week's AI Summit in Delhi shows no signs of abating. A clash erupted between the Delhi Police, there to arrest activists, and the local police in Himachal Pradesh. The matter escalated to court, resulting in three accused being placed on transit remand.

At the forefront of this saga is Delhi Police officer Rahul Vikram, a name that has garnered significant attention. Rahul Vikram serves as an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in the Special Cell of Delhi Police.

An officer of the 2018 DANIPS batch, Rahul hails from Unnao, Uttar Pradesh. With multiple years of experience in the Special Cell, his primary focus has been on counter-terrorism and tackling organized crime.

Under Rahul's leadership, the Special Cell of Delhi Police has played a crucial role in dismantling terror modules. A notable success of his team was unveiling the Al-Qaeda module linked to Jharkhand. His team has not only taken action against criminals and terrorist networks active across various parts of India but also played a significant role in extraditing wanted criminals hidden abroad.

Especially noteworthy was his team's initiative to extradite Sachin Thapan, the mastermind behind the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, from abroad to India. His team's involvement was also critical in bringing the notorious Haryana gangster Kala Rana, known for his closeness to Lawrence Bishnoi, back to India from Thailand. Additionally, the arrests of several high-profile gangsters from Punjab were made possible with the cooperation of his team.

The capture of gangster Sandeep, alias Kala Jathedi—on whom Delhi and Haryana Police had placed a bounty of seven lakh rupees—along with Anuradha, was another significant achievement by Rahul Vikram's team.

Rahul Vikram's proactive role and leadership have provided a robust foundation for the Special Cell of Delhi Police to combat counter-terrorism and organized crime.
